Trevor M. D'Souza - Editor in Chief

Trevor obtained his Ph.D. at the Department of Microbiology, Michigan State University, working on lamb pregastric esterases. After postdoctoral studies (at Michigan State University) on the enzymology and molecular biology of lignin-degrading basidiomycetes, he moved to Los Angeles, where he currently works in Quality Control, focusing on Microbial Identification and Validation. Trevor has been with Hum-Molgen since 1997.

  Simon Chandler - Editor

Simon completed his PhD at the University of Southampton, England, investigating the molecular mechanisms of DNA triple helix formation with a particular focus on the stabilizing the structure using small molecule intercalators. He did his post-doctoral work with Alan Wolffe at the N.I.H. examining the epigenetic mechanisms of DNA methylation based silencing and the role of chromatin structure in this process. He is currently managing late and early-stage drug development projects an ophthalmology Company in the US.

Diego Forero - Editor

Diego obtained his MD at the National University of Colombia and he was working in molecular genetics of neurogenerative diseases. He finished his PhD in molecular genetics and genomics of psychiatric disorders at the Applied Molecular Genomics Group, VIB, University of Antwerp, Belgium. He is currently assistant professor at the School of Medicine, Antonio Nariño University, Bogotá, Colombia and continues with his research in neuropsychiatric genetics.

Robin Kimmel - Editor

Robin completed her MD and PhD studies at New York University, with a research focus on limb development in mice. She is currently doing post-doctoral work at Stanford University studying the genetics of skin cancer.

Keith Markey - Editor

Keith earned his Ph.D. at the University of Connecticut, studying endocrine regulation of neuronal function. He subsequently investigated regulation of catecholamine biosynthesis and collaborated on studies of neural plasticity. He is currently Associate Research Director for an investment banking company, Griffin Securities, which specializes in assisting small companies in the biotechnology, pharmaceutical, and medical device industries.

Jonathan Mill - Editor

Jonathan completed his PhD at the Institute of Psychiatry, London, investigating the molecular genetics of childhood psychiatric illness with a particular focus on the effect of functional polymorphisms in dopaminergic candidate genes. He is currently researching the role of epigenetic factors in the development of common psychiatric and behavioural disorders.

Rashmi Nemade - Editor

Rashmi completed her PhD in 2000 from the Children's Hospital/University of Cincinnati where she studied Polycystic Ovary Syndrome. After her postdoctoral work at the National Institutes of Health in Mammary Gland Development, she worked in Regulatory Affairs. Currently, Rashmi runs her own biomedical writing company, BioMedText, Inc. She joined the editorial team at Hum-Molgen in 2002.

Frank S. Zollmann - Managing Editor

Frank studied Medicine at the University of Rostock and Free University Berlin and, as a Fulbright scholar, Molecular Genetics at Ohio State University. Recently, he received a Diploma in Pharmaceutical Medicine at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles. He is currently working at the Charit√© / Clinical Pharmacology. Within his work he focuses on translational research and the development of a global and local infrastructure for efficient communication in Life Sciences.  In 1994 Frank initiated, together with Arthur Bergen, the HUM-MOLGEN network.

  Kai Garlipp - www administration

Kai studied at the Department of Computer Science at the University of Rostock. Since 1995 he administrates the hum-molgen mailing list and www server. He developed numerous programs enabling the automatic submission of  companies, events, news and positions.
