  May 31, 2007

The Human Genetics Section of the Laboratory of Genomic Diversity, Frederick, Maryland, USA
October 4-5, 2007

The Office of Rare Diseases, National Institutes of Health, together with the Human Genetics Section, Laboratory of Genomic Diversity (part of the National Cancer Institute’s Center for Cancer Research) is announcing the 4th Annual North American ABC Meeting to be held at NCI-Frederick in Frederick, Maryland.

Organized by: Michael Dean
Invited Speakers: This meeting features presentations from graduate students, post-docs., and senior investigators studying the role of ATP Cassette Binding Proteins in human disease. Phylogenetic studies, model systems, and bioinformatic techniques that shed light in this rapidly developing research area are presented. Because student presentations predominate, unpublished results often are first disclosed at these workshops. In past years, Michael Dean, Michael Gottesman, Irwin Arias, Susan Cole, Susan Bates, Tito Fojo, Suresh Ambudkar, and Susan Michaelis have each given talks.

Deadline for Abstracts: September 1 to qualify for travel stipends.

Registration: See the meeting URL for Registration and Abstract Submission details and deadlines.
