$1,600; $700 students (requires proof of enrollment in an accredited degree program, or postdoc training, or medical internship.) The registration fee includes course materials and some meals. General scholarships Available on a limited basis to help pre- and post-doctoral students with travel expenses. To help ensure adequate representation by under-represented populations in the life sciences, gender and minority status will be considered. Additional travel awards from National Institute of Drug Abuse If you are preparing for, or have already entered, a career in Addiction Genetics, the National Insitute of Drug Abuse is awarding 10 travel scholarships. Applicants eligible to apply for this travel award are graduate students and post-docs who are supported by NIDA or are currently seeking support from NIDA and who are seeking a new direction in their research program to employ genetics methodologies. To apply for scholarship/travel award: Please email a letter of request including financial need with your application. Scholarship requests must be accompanied by a letter of support from the applicant's advisor and an abstract for the poster session. If applying for the NIDA travel award, you must include a description of how you will use this course to advance your career in the field of addiction genetics and which NIDA grant is supporting your research or whether a NIDA application is pending. Applications by women, minorities, and persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged.
Accepted applicants will be provided with registration information. Cancellation Policy: In order to receive a refund, your signed notice of cancellation must be received in writing (by post, email or fax) 30 calendar days prior to the meeting. No refunds will be granted after that date. Should it be necessary to cancel the event, The Jackson Laboratory will refund all registration fees paid; but is not responsible for any airfare, hotel or other associated costs incurred by participants.
