Description
This practical course will teach you the basic steps in preparing those written documents most frequently required in the pharmaceutical and related industries. Through lectures, discussions, and workshops, you will learn to work your way through the writing process to express complex ideas clearly and to organize your writing into standard forms such as memos, letters, proposals, and reports. You will also learn strategies for revising, editing, and documenting your work.

Invited Speakers: Patricia Wagner; Professor of English, Victor Valley College

Patricia Wagner is a Professor of English at Victor Valley College in California. She received her undergraduate degree in creative writing at California State University, Long Beach, and has two graduate degrees: an MA in literature from California State University, Long Beach, and an MPW in professional writing from the University of Southern California. Ms. Wagner has extensive editorial experience in fine arts and in technical writing. Her teaching and professional experience includes technical and business writing, technical writing for ESL students, desktop publishing, interactive teaching technology, and creative writing. She is the co-author of several recent articles on assay validation and the application of proteomics to the development of diagnostics and has co-edited several books including Teaching Composition with Literature with Dana Gioia, the current Chairman of the National Endowment of the Arts.
