Leveraging Real-World Data: Insights into Depression from Surveys and Wearables

To better address the impact of depression on the well-being and quality of life, treatment approaches and clinical trials can benefit from information about the everyday experiences and challenges of individuals with depression. Equally important is understanding how these experiences change over time and with treatment. Gaining these insights relies on longitudinal data collected from a large, representative, real-world population, which can be difficult to achieve in clinical trial and care settings.

A continuous, direct connection to an online community of engaged individuals willing to respond to surveys and connect their devices and apps, such as Apple Watches and Fitbits, presents opportunities to capture data longitudinally. These novel, layered datasets help accurately and comprehensively describe the real-world experiences with depression and psycho- and pharmacotherapy.

Using this approach, Evidation collected survey data from over 54,000 individuals and sleep and activity data from more than 35,000 individuals who had a wearable device connected in the past 90 days. The methodology and insights from this large group of individuals with depression will be presented in this webinar.

The speaker will also delve into the key insights, demonstrating how real-world data can support more informed decision-making in depression-related clinical trials and treatment strategies.

Join this webinar to learn how real-world data can revolutionize understanding of depression and drive more patient-centered research and care.
