The Immunometabolism field continues to provide fascinating insights into the role of metabolites in controlling immune effector responses in both host defense and inflammation. New information is emerging on how metabolic reprogramming can directly govern cell responses, both in innate and adaptive immunity with new therapeutic possibilities on the horizon. Discussion topics will include: Metabolic control of inflammation Regulation of T cells by polyamines Mitochondrial metabolism and stress responses Therapeutic targeting of metabolic processes (transplantation and autoimmune diseases) Metabolic reprogramming in host/pathogen interactions
