Synthetic Biology USA Congress

  November 13, 2017

Oxford Global , Hyatt Regency Boston
2018-05-10

Oxford Global are proud to present the Synthetic Biology USA Congress taking place on 10-11 May 2018 in Boston, USA.

Synthetic biology is a rapidly expanding field with the potential to provide solutions to a number of humanity’s most difficult medical problems.  In brief, synthetic biology seeks to (i) design and construct biological components and systems that do not exist in nature and (ii) re-design and build existing biological systems. Recent breakthroughs, including effective cancer treatments, biosensors and microbiome therapies attest to the power and value of such research.

This brand new 2-day conference brings together some of the world’s leading researchers to address the opportunities and challenges within recent synthetic biology research. On day one, our tool development stream will highlight recent foundational accomplishments, offering insights into CRISPR-based research, package and vector engineering, genetic circuits and microbiomes. On day two, the applications stream will explore the diverse biomedical applications of these technologies for therapy and diagnostics.

Over 20 presentations dedicated to advances in Synthetic Biology explaining recent tool developments as well as their therapeutic and diagnostic applications.

Featuring sessions focusing on:

- CRISPR-based Synthetic Biology tools
- Genetic Circuits and Regulation
- Developments in DNA Assembly
- Viral Vector Engineering for Gene Therapy
- Microbiomes
- In Vivo Biosensors
