Webinar on Pediatric Financial Benchmarking

  November 03, 2017

Netzealous LLC -MentorHealth, Online
2017-12-07

Overview: In this discussion, we will focus on financial measures that are meaningful to pediatricians. In this webinar, we will identify a pediatric-specific measure, explain how to calculate it, and then share results from pediatric practices around the country. Practices will have a simple blueprint to use to develop and compare their own performances without having to understand computer programming and using data that even the most rudimentary practice management systems can generate.

Why should you Attend: Independent pediatric practices work in silos - rarely understanding how their performance compares to their local peers or even on a national scale. What numbers should a managing physician or practice administrator pay attention to? What are the indicators of danger or success? To make matters worse, financial benchmarking in medicine has little or no understanding of the unique nature of pediatrics. Vaccines make up 20% or more of revenue in pediatric practices except in universal states. How can you possibly make comparisons? What's a normal A/R for a busy practice? What's an appropriate E&M distribution? What is a Sick:Well ratio?

Most independent physicians forget that they run a small business, and running a small business means being aware of your financial performance and productivity. Practices who don't constantly sample their own performance data and compare it not only to others, but to their own histories can expect to operate inefficiently and repeat mistakes year after year. Stay independent by understanding your performance.
