6th Annual Next Generation Sequencing Asia Congress 2016

  April 20, 2016

Oxford Global, Singapore
11-12 October 2016

Oxford Global Conferences are proud to present the 6th Annual Next Generation Sequencing Asia Congress, taking place on 11-12 October 2016 inSingapore.

NGS is one of the fastest growing segments within genomic research. Sequencing is becoming both cheaper and quicker – triggering ground breaking discoveries in the field and having a striking impact on cancer, rare diseases, immunotherapy and the future development of genomic therapies. The Asia-Pacific region is home to some of the world’s largest sequencing facilities making Singapore the ideal location for networking and idea-sharing opportunities with peers. This two-day congress will bring together key researchers from Asia, Australasia, the USA and Europe to discuss the growing opportunities of this expanding market.

300 delegates representing leading sequencing centres, global pharmaceutical organisations and world-renowned research institutions

35 presentations and case studies focused on the key developments in sequencing, epigenetics and genomics.

Together with our Single Cell Analysis Congress we will have 4 interactive streams:

  • Advances In NGS Platforms And Key Therapeutic Applications
  • NGS: Data Analysis, Clinical Applications & Diagnostics
  • Single Cell ‘Omics
  • Single Cell Analysis Technology

14 pre-scheduled one to one meetings, exhibition and informal networking opportunities.

Join us at this exciting congress to hear renowned experts discuss the latest developments in NGS technologies, protein sequencing & genome editing. On day one presentations will also cover case studies of NGS in therapeutics and genomic medicine including cancer, immunotherapy, infectious diseases and biomarkers.

On day two distinguished speakers will discuss clinical applications for NGS technologies and the role of genomics in personalised medicine, rare diseases and diagnostics. Delegates will hear from those working at the forefront of bioinformatics, as they discuss solutions to the most recent challenges of data integration, analysis, processing & big data.

The 6th Annual Next Generation Sequencing Asia Congress will be co-located with the 4th Annual Single Cell Analysis Asia Congress focussing on sample preparation, single cell isolation, imaging technologies, genomics, PCR analysis, transcriptomics, and proteomics. The Single Cell Congress will also showcase the latest insights into single cell analysis for CTCs, rare cell diseases and understanding tumour heterogeneity.

There are many similarities between NGS and Single Cell Analysis, and delegates will benefit from a broad spectrum of talks focussing on a range of topics including CRISPR and gene re-arrangements and genome anomalies.

The event will also be co-located with our 3rd Annual Microbiology and Infectious Disease Asia Congress which will enable microbiologists to network with NGS experts and find ways to exploit this exciting technology in their research.

Organized by: Oxford Global
Invited Speakers:
Our speaker programmes are carefully researched each year to ensure that delegates are exposed to the highest level of expertise. Delegates not only benefit from the experience of our speakers, but also gain an insight into the experiences of other attendees – Q&A sessions and panel discussions are utilised to enable sharing of knowledge and to facilitate idea exchange.

If you have a cutting edge case study or relevant presentation and would like to join the speaker panel at one of our events, please contact Julia Brimacombe at j.brimacombe@oxfordglobal.co.uk

Some of our confirmed NGS Asia Speakers for 2016 Include:

- David Smith, Professor of Laboratory Medicine & Pathology. Mayo Clinic, USA

- Mark Robinson, Assistant Professor. University of Zurich, Switzerland

- Darren Korbie, Head of Sequencing, Centre for Personalized Nanomedicine. Australian Institute for Bioengineering and Nanotechnology, Australia

- László Orbán, Professor and Senior Principal Investigator, Reproductive Genomics Group. Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory, Singapore
