5th - 7th November 2014
5th November 2014 - Using Biomarkers to Predict Heart Failure and for Disease Management The diagnosis and management of heart failure remains challenging despite many advances in recent decades. With a greater understanding of this complex syndrome, a large number of candidate biomarkers have emerged which could serve as an indicator of the presence, severity and possible therapeutic response of the heart failure syndrome. This event will look at the current research assessing the the use of biomarkers for detection and prognosis of heart failure.
6th November 2014 - Analysing the immune mechanisms involved in the pathogenesis, treatment and prognosis of chronic heart failure This event will discuss the on-going effort of define the immune systems role in the pathogenesis of chronic heart failure. We will also look at how analysis of the immune system can be used for assessing disease development and in therapeutic strategies. New research will be discussed and there will be plenty of opportunity to present new work and for debate, set in an informal atmosphere is central London.
7th November 2014 - Developing protein therapeutics for heart failure This event will discuss novel therapeutic concepts to both prevent and combat heart failure, including therapeutics which may be used to directly promote cardiac repair and even regeneration. View the full Program
