Stem Cell Biology

  January 11, 2013

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, Cold Spring Harbor, New York
September 24 - 28, 2013

We are pleased to host the third meeting on Stem Cell Biology, which will begin with 7.30 pm on Tuesday, September 24, 2013 and run through lunch on Saturday, September 28.The meeting will focus on the basic biology of stem cells and the dynamic interactions between stem cells and their microenvironment or niche. Topics will include the mechanisms controlling stem cell proliferation, differentiation, pluripotency and reprogramming. Emerging concepts about the regulation of multipotent cells during early embryo development, tissue regeneration and tumor progression will be emphasized.

Topics:
Stem cell-niche interactions
Imaging stem cell behavior
Asymmetric cell division
Epithelial, neural and
hematopoietic stem cells
Tissue regeneration and repair
Lineage determination
Pluripotency and epigenetics
Reprogramming and plasticity
