We are pleased to host the seventh Cold Spring Harbor meeting on The Ubiquitin Family, which will will begin at 7:30 pm on Tuesday, May 14 and run through lunch on Saturday, May 18, 2013. The meeting will cover current work on the structure, regulation and function of ubiquitin and ubiquitin-like proteins in biology. The meeting is intended to provide a format for the exchange of ideas and information, to discuss the latest research findings and technical advances, and to facilitate interaction amongst groups active in diverse systems. Topics: CONJUGATION, REMOVAL AND RECOGNITION OF UBIQUTIN AND UBIQUITIN-LIKE PROTEINS (UBLs) I CONJUGATION, REMOVAL AND RECOGNITION OF UBLs II SUBSTRATE TARGETING AND DEGRADATION UBLs IN SIGNALING I: RECEPTORS, PLASMA MEMBRANE / ENDOSOMAL TRAFFICKING QUALITY CONTROL NUCLEAR FUNCTIONS OF UBLs REGULATION OF INTRACELLULAR PATHWAYS UBLs IN SIGNALING II: INTRACELLULAR COMMUNICATION AND REGULATION OF ORGANISMAL BIOLOGY
