Genomic Complexity (satellite meeting of ECCS12)

  April 18, 2012

European Conference on Complex Systems, Brussels, Belgium
September 6, 2012

The aim of this meeting is to review recent progress and to present novel findings in genomics, related to the complexity of the genome structure and interactions. The connections between sequence complexity and genomic functionality/evolution are within the main scope of this satellite. The meeting also focuses in emergent features of genome dynamics, which are typical of complex systems. Topics related to gene regulation, genome size attributes, repeat dynamics, fractality in the chromatin structure, etc, as well as methodological issues are to be addressed.
