Neuronal Circuits: From Structure to Function

  October 23, 2007

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, Cold Spring Harbor, New York
March 13-16, 2008

The 2008 meeting is intended to bring together a diverse group of scientists studying various molecular, genetic and biochemical approaches to the analysis of the PTEN pathway in cancer, diabetes, and neurological disorders such as Parkinson’s Disease. Junior and senior researchers will join to discuss their latest research findings and technical approaches toward the analysis of the PTEN pathway. Particular emphasis will be given to human cancer pathogenesis, disease models, and therapy. While a number of speakers have been invited, please note that the majority of oral presentations will be drawn from openly submitted abstracts.

* PTEN/PI-3 kinase pathway alterations in human cancer
* PTEN regulation
* PI-3 kinase, IRS, PDK1 & AKT signaling
* FOXO signaling
* TSC and mTOR signaling
* PTEN pathway & neurodegenerative/metabolic diseases
* Analysis of pathway mutations in mice & preclinical therapeutics
* Therapy
