Human Genome Variation Society, Montreal, Canada
21st May 2007
The HGVS organises two one day meetings per year as a forum for scientists to exchange ideas and form collaborations. The meetings are designed to update and increase knowledge of human genome variation and generally attract a stimulating and interesting collection of abstracts in all fields of human genome variation making it an ideal forum to share information and results. Topics include: bioinformatics, mutation databases, genetic diversity, ethical issues, legal issues, methodology, complex traits, nomenclature issues and other topics. We invite all those interested in human genome variation especially bioinformatics and disease causing mutations to submit abstracts.
HGVS will be joining the Human Genome Organisation (HUGO) in Montreal, Canada as a satellite meeting. We hope all members are able to attend, non-members are welcome.
ABSTRACTS
The Human Genome Variation Society invites submissions of abstracts for the Symposium on Human Genome Variation and Pharmacogenetics. There will be two classes of abstracts, those for pharmacogenetics and human genome variation and those on general human genome variation. You are welcome to attend the meeting without submitting an abstract.
Of the pharmacogenetics abstracts chosen for presentation, a maximum of 4-6 will be chosen to write a paper and following review & acceptance published in a special upcoming "Focus" section of the journal Human Mutation.
Please see the detialed abstract insutructions BEFORE WRITING YOUR ABSTRACT on the website as the pharmacogenetics abstracts are not of the standard format
