Chaired by Professor Bartha Maria Knoppers of the University of Montreal and co-organized by Muin Khoury of the Centers for Disease Control (Atlanta, USA), Mohamed Karmali of the Public Health Agency of Canada (Guelph, Ontario), and Ron Zimmern of the Public Health Genetics Unit (Cambridge, UK). The 4th International DNA Sampling Conference, “Genomics and Public Health,” will stimulate a broad sector commitment by bringing together researchers, ethicists, lawyers, public health specialists, and international stakeholders to address key questions about DNA sampling, specifically issues relating to genomics and public health, including newborn screening programs and more.
