Stem Cell Transplantation in Children: Current Results and Controversies - Meeting #8

This is the 8th in a series of international meetings that Dr. Trigg has organized on pediatric stem cell transplantation issues. The conference is focused on clinical issues looking at areas that remain controversial. A variety of speakers from around the world come to present clinical data and results. Major subjects include eligibility for transplant studies, long-term complications related to the preparative therapies and the transplant process, choice of donor and what types of donor marrow or stem cells work best in certain situations, and dealing with some of the more significant immediate post-transplant complications particularly focusing on issues of intensive care. A variety of new applications of marrow transplant will also be explored.
