The focus of IBC’s 5th International Conference on Protein Microarrays is to discuss the current state of microarray-based approaches for proteome research and specifically focus on applications in the drug discovery process. In-depth presentations will focus on protein microarrays used to screen entire genomes for proteins that interact with particular factors, catalyze particular reactions, and act as substrates for protein-modifying enzymes; antibody arrays and miniaturized multiplexed sandwich immunoassays enabling scientists to measure protein concentrations quickly and simultaneously; and advancements in miniaturization that allow for analyzing multiple parameters in parallel and requiring minimal amounts of reagents and sample.
