Drug Discovery in Neurodegenerative Diseases

  January 13, 2004

Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, Cold Spring Harbor, New York
December 2 - 5, 2004

You are cordially invited to participate in the third meeting on Drug Discovery in Neurodegenerative Diseases, which will be held at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. The meeting will begin with dinner and the first session on the evening of Thursday, December 2, and will conclude with lunch on Sunday, December 5, 2004.

Rational drug discovery for neurodegenerative diseases has begun to yield compounds and approaches which are entering the clinic. In order for these human studies to yield a maximum of information and success, it is now more crucial than ever for scientists from academia and industry to have forums for the exchange of data and ideas.

Proposed Topics:

Triplet Repeat Diseases, Tauopathies & Synucleinopathies
Cerebral Amyloidoses
Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis
Mechanisms of Neurodegeneration
Current Therapies and Prevention
Cell and Gene Transfer
Genetics, Genomics & Patient selection

Organized by: Samuel Gandy, Virginia Lee & Marcy MacDonald
Invited Speakers: This meeting will consist of six to seven sessions, each of which will be composed of one talk by the session chair, one talk by an invited speaker, and several additional talks selected from the submitted abstracts. It is expected that half of the session chairs and speakers (invited and from submitted abstracts) will be from each "sector": i.e., half from academia and half from industry.

Deadline for Abstracts: October 1, 2004

Registration: Register and submit abstracts here
