APHYS-2003 | ||||||||||||||||
January 07, 2003 | ||||||||||||||||
Formatex - University of Extremadura, Badajoz 14-18 October 2003 The Conference will be specifically interested in receiving reports on Interdisciplinar researches relating Physics with other Sciences such as Biology, Chemistry, Information Science, Medicine, etc or relating different Physics areas. In other words, we are specially (but not exclusivelly) interested in reports applying the techniques, the training, and the culture of physics to research areas usually associated with other scientific and engineering disciplines. Papers should at least cover two of the following topics and represent APPLIED research.
Although some different simposia/workshops will be programmed during the Conference, paralell sessions will be avoided to permit the maximum possible interaction between all the attendees (we do not want to program many paralell specialized "mini-conferences"). POSTERS sessions and discussions will have a very important weight in the Scientific Program of the Conference, being oral presentations limited to some Invited Lecturers and other selected contributed works and "Call for Partners" presentations. You will find information on the final structure of the Conference in due time. At this moment we can anticipate the organization of these International Workshops (probably to be held as Pre-conference events during October 13th and 14th): - International Interdisciplinary Workshop on Applied Microscopy - International Workshop on Novel Applications of Surface and Interface Science in both physical/chemical and biological/biomedical fields. - International Workshop on Non-crystalline Solids for Biomedical Applications - International Workshop on Occupational Radiation Protection |
