  September 09, 2002

Neurology / Neuroscience

  Elsevier Science/Neuroscion, Orlando
October 31 - November 2, 2002

General information

The purpose of this meeting is to bring together the world's leading experts to present a comprehensive coverage of the latest advances in the physiological, biochemical and molecular mechanisms that control inhibitory synaptic transmission as a regulator of cellular and network excitability. The conference will bring together four distinct themes dealing with presynaptic interneurons and postsynaptic receptor function as well as with behavioral and functional consequences of subunit deletion.

Session topics:
Anatomy & Physiology of GABAA Receptors and Interneurons
Molecular Biology of GABAA Receptors
Animal Models & Transgenics
Physiology of GABAA Receptors/Synapses

Abstracts for poster presentation are invited on the themes of the conference.
