  HUGO Mutation Database Initiative
  January 22, 2001

Genetics

HUGO Mutation Database Initiative, in association with HGM2001, Edinburgh, Scotland
19th April 2001

The importance of up-to-date listings of mutations is beyond dispute. Workers
have created central databases of mutations, as well as locus specific databases
for their own use. The HUGO Mutation Database Initiative has encouraged a
systematic approach to the provision of up-to-date mutation databases online.
The hoped for outcome of this activity is a system and a structure to report and
document mutations. Further information is available on our Website at:

http://ariel.ucs.unimelb.edu.au:80/~cotton/mdi.htm

All MDI members and others are invited and encouraged to submit
abstracts of original, current work for possible
presentation at the meeting. Please submit
electronically via email to Rania
horaitis@mail.medstv.unimelb.edu.au). Authors will be
notified by email of acceptance and whether they will
be presenting an oral or poster presentation.

You do not need to submit an abstract to attend the meeting.

This meeting will be a scientific meeting, there will be
one hour at the end for a business meeting.

If you do not submit early, we may not be able to accommodate an oral presentation.
