Removal of foreign or adventitious agents such as bacteria, viruses, prions, trace DNA, host cell proteins, and endotoxins from biologics and the bioprocess is a difficult and complex problem, yet it is critical to the safety of therapeutics and diagnostics utilizing any animal or human sera or cells. Researchers doing work in the area of vaccine production, monoclonal antibodies, cell and tissue culture, protein production and purification, gene therapy, or medical devices utilizing animal tissues will find information critical to assuring the safety of these products at this conference. Scientists and bioprocess engineers working to assure the safety of these products are encouraged to attend this intensive program. |
