TRANSMISSIBLE SPONGIFORM ENCEPHALOPATHIES | ||||
Cambridge Healthtech Institute
, Alexandria, Virginia October 2-3, 2000 |

Since the appearance of nvCJD in humans, the spread of Transmissible Spongiform Encephalopathies through contaminated animal and human tissue and fluids has been of great concern to researchers producing therapeutics and diagnostics from these sources. New data is stimulating both hope and fear as we learn more about the nature of the agent, the connection of BSE to nvCJD, and the agent’s ability to cross species barriers. This conference will present the newest data on TSE’s in the context of its application to the pharmaceutical, biological, and device industry, and will feature the most complete assembly of the world experts in the field ever brought together for a conference of this type. |
