	Out of the Box and Into the Future: A Dialogue Between Warfighters and Scientists on Far-Future Warfare (2025) will be held 26-27 June 2000 at the International Trade Center at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C. Out of the Box and Into the Future is designed to bring together leaders and forecasting experts from the civilian R&D and uniformed military communities to take an innovative look at our national security needs 25-30 years into the 21st century. The conference goal is to further our vision of needed research and technology that can enable far-future combat concepts for a revolution in military affairs. The conference will highlight such research areas as information technology, nanotechnologies, biotechnologies, neuroscience, energy, and advanced materials. The conference is sponsored and supported by the Joint Forces Command, Senator Jeff Bingaman, Senator Joseph Lieberman, Senator Pat Roberts, Congressman Curt Weldon, Dr. Charles Vest (President of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology), Armed Forces Journal International, the National Intelligence Council, the Office of Naval Research, The Air Force Office of Scientific Research, and the Coalition for National Security Research.
