This 5-day course emphasizes the proper diagnosis and management of the acutely ill or injured child. As a result of attending this conference, you will be able to develop a better understanding of all types of emergencies seen in children, ranging from medical, traumatic, non-accidental and toxicological. Emergency physicians, pediatricians and family physicians will enjoy an opportunity to broaden their knowledge base and sharpen their skills in both lecture and interactive small-group sessions. The participant will also be able to evaluate, diagnose, treat and refer pediatric emergencies more appropriately, whether in a hospital emergency department or in an outpatient setting. The faculty includes national authorities in the field of pediatric emergency medicine. 16 hrs CME Category 1 available.
