The high-throughput generation of new proteins with unknown function in the context of emerging genome sequences has created a need for faster and more accurate methods of protein structure determination. This task can be achieved by a combination of experimental high-throughput structure determination and computational approaches for the prediction of how proteins fold. Cambridge Healthtech Institute’s conference, Protein Structure, is designed to provide in-depth coverage of recent developments in the whole field of structure determination, the integration of such information into databases, and their relationships with other relevant databases including those containing protein-protein interactions. More basic structural genomics will be reviewed including prediction of function from structure and implication of structure determination in the validation of targets for drug discovery and product development. |
