Program:
This course will focus on the review of new knowledge in the prevention of disease and the skills needed to prevent disease in patients. Managed care organizations and patients increasingly expect primary care providers to be experts in prevention. The challenge is to stay current when research and practice guidelines related to prevention are rapidly expanding. Topics will be targeted for the primary care practice. Speakers are both active researchers and primary care physicians.
