Ljubljana
Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, is in the centre of the country, only an hour's drive from the Alps or the Adriatic Sea. Modern Ljubljana is built on the remnants of Roman Emona. Below the castle, there is a picturesque medieval town with an ancient cultural tradition which we hope guests will find time to explore.
Climate
Ljubljana has a central European climate. In October, the weather could be pleasant with an average day temperature of 15°C. However, it can be changeable and rainy and participants are advised to bring a raincoat or umbrella and warmer dress.
Currency Exchange
Foreign currency may be exchanged at banks and exchange offices, at travel agencies, hotels, at the airport and railway station. All major credit cards are widely accepted in hotels, restaurants, and stores. The Slovenian currency is the tolar (SIT). The exchange rate for 1 USD is approximately 170 SIT.
Meals
There is a restaurant in the University Medical Centre and several other restaurants within walking distance of the Conference Venue.
