Invited Speakers: Oral and poster presentations will be chosen from openly submitted abstracts on the basis of scientific merit.
Program:
You are cordially invited to participate in the fifty-second meeting on Molecular Genetics of Bacteria & Phages which will be held at Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory. The meeting will begin on Tuesday, August 25, 1998, and will conclude with lunch on Sunday, August 30. The specific goal of this conference is to bring together a group of scientists studying diverse aspects of prokaryotic growth using the tools of molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, and structure analysis. The meeting is intended to provide a forum for the exchange of ideas and information and to discuss the latest research findings and technical advances.
We encourage the submission of abstracts covering diverse topics and under-repesented organisms and particularly encourage junior investigators to present their results at the meeting.
Topics and Session Leaders include:
Regulation of Transcription Initiation
Lucia Rothman-Denes, University Of Chicago
RNA Polymerase: Structure, Function & Catalysis
Seth Darst, The Rockefeller University
Post-Transcriptional Control
Susan Gottesman, National Cancer Institute
Signalling & Global Circuits
