REGENERATIVE HEALING

Cambridge Healthtech Institute , Washington, D.C.
March 23-24, 1998

Program:
The body has enormous capabilities to heal itself, but for a wide range of
cases, such as damage to nerves, cartilage, and other tissues, additional
assistance is required. The use of growth promoting factors and the
inhibition of growth suppressors, as well as cultured or even engineered
cells, all represent novel approaches that are under investigation for
regenerative healing. The biological challenges for these approaches, as well
as clinical and regulatory issues, will be discussed.
