PROTEIN EXPRESSION: From Discovery to Development

Cambridge Healthtech Institute , San Diego, California
January 12-13, 1998

Program:
The explosion of genomic information has focused attention on issues related
to the translation of sequence information into proteins. Efforts to obtain
correctly spliced sequences, including various possible regulatory elements,
selection of a cell line for initial expression, and solutions for expression of
problematic proteins present a range of challenges. New approaches for
insuring expression of properly folded, fully functional proteins will also be
explored.
