Program:
Advances in affinity systems are extending the technology beyond separations to offer the potential of
bio-specificity associated with molecular-specific interactions. These advances involve the
development of engineered systems specific for target molecules associated with viruses, receptors,
surface domains, and active sites. Together with advances in the science has come the development
of peripheral systems such as instrumentation and substrate matrices. The conference will feature
focused sessions highlighting dramatic advances in new ligand development, as well as advances in
media and applications. Researchers developing new uses for affinity technology, from the diagnostic
lab to drug production, will benefit from attendance at this conference. Information gained from this
conference will assist the attendees to understand the exciting directions affinity technology is taking
and point to some of its emerging applications.
