1997 ISAC Sam Latt Conference:

International Society for Analytical Cytology , Toronto, Ontario Canada
20-22 June 1997

Invited Speakers: see program at conference website

Program:
This will be a two and a half day meeting on new approaches for studying cell cycle control and apoptosis in human cancers using cytometry. The meeting will be held in the Medical Sciences Building, University of Toronto , Ontario, Canada. The University occupies a pleasant, green campus within easy walking distance of downtown Toronto.

The goal of this conference is to develop a strategy for identifying critical molecular abnormalities in cancer patients, using multiparametric cytometry to map the functional integrity of pathways regulating cell growth and death. This approach combines the analytical strengths of molecular pathology and cytometry. The program consists of invited plenary talks that will overview the current state of knowledge, and afternoon workshop sessions supplemented by posters. The workshops will focus on the practical problems of achieving the goal of the meeting.
