NANOTECHNOLOGY Materials, Manufacturing and Applications

Cambridge Healthtech Institute , San Francisco, California
June 26-27, 1997

Program:
The production and usage of materials, devices, and systems of nano size involve much more than
simply shrinking the scale of the design. There are significant changes in the physics and chemistry of
the materials, in the methods employed for manufacturing, and in other factors, such as economics
and performance. While the field is still relatively young, the potential value of materials designed at
the atomic level, or of microscopic devices, instruments, and other equipment has attracted the
attention of researchers across a broad range of applications. Sessions highlighting current advances
in nano-materials, methods of manufacturing, and electronic and photonic applications, as well as
other uses, including medical, will be featured.
