Fifth Annual ADVANCES IN NUCLEIC AMPLIFICATION & DETECTION: New Technologies for Research and Clinical Applications

Cambridge Healthtech Institute , San Francisco, California
June 16-17, 1997

Program:
Speed, ease, cost-effectiveness, reproducibility, and reliability are among the driving forces for
technical advances in nucleic acid amplification and detection. Identification and quantification of
DNA and RNA are being used pervasively for conducting biological research and are increasingly
applied to a wide range of clinical and diagnostic applications. This program spotlights many of the
important advances at the forefront of this field. Technical advances, such as solutions to difficult
problems, improved quantitation, and homogeneous assays, as well as new areas of development
such as peptide-nucleic acid applications, will be highlighted. Clinical results for a variety of
indications, including infectious diseases, cancer, and other hereditary diseases, will be covered.
Those attending this meeting can expect numerous opportunities to learn about new strategies and
techniques that can be readily applied to a wide range of specific uses.
