Program:
Technology for rapid acquisition of genotyping and multiple gene expression profiles has advanced
rapidly in the past few years. One of the key challenges is gaining sufficient information on what such
information means and how it can be used with individual patients. Assessment of predictive risk or
the ability to stratify an apparently homogeneous clinical population into segments with distinct genetic
profiles will become increasingly important in diagnostics and the design and evaluation of clinical
trials. Early examples of how this approach is being applied will be highlighted.
