Program:
This conference aims to provide a forum for the discussion of a variety of recent advances in the understanding of the development, form and function of the brain. To foster information exchange, there will be several "break-out" sessions in which the promise and problems of individual techniques will be discussed in detail. Techniques to be discussed :

• Confocal Microscopy
• Two-Photon microscopy
• Optical traps
• Calcium and cAMP sensitive dyes
• Voltage sensitive dyes
• Photostimulation
• Intrinsic signal optical imaging
• PET
• MRI microscopy
• Functional MRI
• Magnetoencephalography
• Novel imaging methodologies

In addition to treating these individual approaches, several speakers will cover the interfaces between imaging modalities. Six oral sessions, two poster sessions and various technical discussion sessions are planned. The majority of speakers will be selected on the basis of the submitted abstracts. We strongly encourage submission of latest results by junior researchers in the field.
