The Lorne Conferences are held annually at Erskine house, Lorne-a popular surf beach resort situated 150 km west of
Melbourne (about 2.5 hrs drive from Melbourne Airport). Erskine House is favourably located on the foreshore and has
facilities for lawn tennis, golf putting, croquet and table tennis. There are excellent sandy beaches for swimming and
surfing. There are also excellent bushwalks in the surrounding areas. Details of the 1997 scientific programs for the three
conferences are given at http://grimwade.biochem.unimelb.edu.au/lorne.htm
