Program:
The 4th Joint Clinical Genetic Meeting unites the 28th March of Dimes Clinical Genetics Conference and the 4th Annual Meeting of the American College of Medical Genetics. It will be sponsored by the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Columbia Univeristy. The meeting will be followed by the Neurogenetics Short Course, "Unlocking the Secrets of Neurogenetics," sponsored by The National Society of Genetic Counselors and a workshop entitled "Billing, Collections and Compliance: Surviving the '90's." The March of Dimes conference will present new information relating to prenatal diagnosis and therapy. There will be sessions on non-invasive techniques of prenatal testing, new approaches to prenatal diagnosis, and fetal therapy. The 4th Annual Meeting of The American College of Medical Genetics will consist of plenary sessions, workshops, roundtables, and submitted poster sessions. Topics in clinical genetics, clinical laboratory genetics, genetic counseling, and associated ethical issues will be included. The focus will be on topics related to the practice of clinical genetics, in support of the mission of ACMG to encourage development and delivery of genetic services to the American public.
