Program:
Purpose: To convene health care professionals from throughout the Southeastand the nation to focus on strategies and interventions to combat heart disease and stroke.

Agenda includes: Importance of Community Assessment/Evaluation Techniques
in a changing environment with concurrent sessions on Data and Community
Innovations;
Preventive Cardiology for the Primary Care Physician;
Health Promotion Concurrent Sessions;
Update on Southeastern Clinical Research;
Updateson Stroke and Heart Attack;
Women and Cardiovascular Disease;
Update on Management of Congestive Heart Failure;
Controversies in Hypertension;
Managed Care of Hypertension in the Southeast;
and Special Workshops and Certifications.

The American Academy of Physicians has approved this program for up to 22 hours for CEUs. Credit for CEUs for nurses,registered dietitians and health educatorsis also available.
