GENE THERAPY

Invited Speakers: Platform and poster presentations are chosen from submitted abstracts. Apart from the session chairs listed below, others who have been invited and have indicated that they will attend include:

Program:
Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory will host the meeting on GENE THERAPY which will begin at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday September 25 and end after lunch on Sunday September 29, 1996. We are looking forward to a critical and broad-based meeting, and abstracts are welcomed on all aspects of gene therapy. Proposed sessions (and joint session chairs) are:

* Cancer I; Richard Mulligan, tba
* Cancer II; Inder Verma, tba
* AIDS; Gary Nabel, Flossie Wong-Staal
* Improved viral vectors; James Wilson, Y.W. Kan
* Synthetic vectors; Matt Cotton, Helen Blau
* Genetic and cardiovascular disease; Theodore Friedmann, Elizabeth Nabel
* Emerging Technology; Savio Woo, Jeffery Leiden
This meeting is planned to bring together representatives from laboratories in all areas for a critical evaluation of all areas in gene therapy research. We especially encourage junior researchers to present their research. Abstracts should contain only new and unpublished material. We urge groups to avoid submitting multiple abstracts describing overlapping or redundant abstracts. If several abstracts are submitted by a group, we recommend that you indicate which abstract(s) you want considered for formal presentations and for poster sessions. Submission of an abstract is not required for attendance. The abstract deadline is July 10, 1996.
