Beaumont Hospital's Fifth Annual Symposium on "DNA Technology in the Clinical Laboratory" will be held on Friday, Saturday, March 8-9, 1996 at William Beaumont Hospital in Royal Oak, Michigan (suburban Detroit). APPLICATION BY WILLIAM BEAUMONT HOSPITAL TO THE AACC HAS BEEN MADE TO QUALIFY THIS EVENT AS ACCENT-APPROVED.

There will be presentations on Molecular Diagnostic Techniques, Hematology-Oncology, Coagulation, Genetics (congenital adrenal hyperplasia, cystic fibrosis, retinoblastoma, DNA sequencing, ethical and genetic counseling considerations, porphyria, breast cancer) and Infectious Disease Diagnostics

Keynote Presentation: Lemuel Bowie, PhD, Evanston Hospital- Potential Applications of Sequence Based Diagnosis for Hemoglobinopathies and alpha thalassemia in the Clinical Laboratory and its Impact on Other Clinical Conditions

There will be Platform presentations; Lunch roundtable presentations;
