Program:
From August 9 to 13, 1999 Barry University School of Natural and Health Sciences will host a TEC credit-approved biotechnology workshop for high school teachers to learn how to bring biotechnology into the classroom.
Participants will be introduced to cutting-edge technology with the help of user friendly biotechnology kits to learn restriction enzyme analysis, agarose gel electrophoresis, DNA sequencing, DNA fingerprinting, oocyte cell culture, and many other procedures.
Also learn how to use the computer effectively in the classroom by utilizing software simulating biotechnology experiments to further bring your classroom into the 21st century
