Program:
This program, sponsored by the Offices of Continuing Medical Education at Johns Hopkins and at UCLA, will emphasize the performance and interpretation of dedicated PET (positron emission tomography), dual detector coincidence imaging and SPECT (single photon emission tomography) studies in the care of patients with cancer. The role of these studies in selecting patients for various treatment pathways and monitoring the therapeutic results will be explained. The merits and limitations of dedicated PET and dual detector coincidence imaging will be discussed. Registrants will participate in demonstrations of the performance of actual studies and learn how to qualitatively and quantitatively analyze the results.

Registration :
