OVERVIEW

The Fourth Annual Progress in Hematologic Malignancies and Bone Marrow Transplantation symposium is designed for physicians who refer, or who would like to refer, patients to the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions. This one-day conference has been developed to serve as a forum to discuss the treatment or diagnosis of hematologic malignancies and current controversies in bone marrow transplantation.

OBJECTIVES

After attending this program, the referring physician will be better prepared to:

Recognize new techniques in managing lymphoma.

Describe the management of common complications of hematologic malignancies.

Identify controversies in the approach to patients with hematologic malignancies and marrow failure states.

Understand the role of bone marrow transplant and novel therapies in hematologic malignancies.

Please note, walk-in registrations will be assessed a $15 charge.

The registration fee, which is payable in advance, includes instructional materials, continental breakfasts, refreshment breaks and luncheons. Foreign payments must be made on a U.S. bank.

Cancellation Policy: An administrative fee of $35 will be retained on all refunds, which are not possible unless notice of cancellation is received by the Office of Continuing Medical Education one business day prior to the first day of the course. Refunds will be processed upon receipt of a cancellation letter. The Johns Hopkins University reserves the right to cancel this course at any time. In this event, the full registration fee will be returned to the registrant.

CONTINUING MEDICAL EDUCATION CREDIT

The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education to sponsor continuing medical education for physicians.

The Johns Hopkins University designates this continuing medical education activity up to 6.5 credit hours in Category 1 of the Physician s Recognition Award of the American Medical Association.
