Protein Sciences Corporation (PSC) is the world leader in the use of the Baculovirus protein expression system. PSC specializes in the production and development of large, complex protein-based vaccines and therapeutics for human and animal health. Protein Sciences lead product candidate is FluBlØk, a next generation seasonal and pandemic influenza vaccine produced in insect cells. FluBlØk is in Phase III clinical development in the United States.

PSC's protein production service, GeneXpress, allows customers to take advantage of Protein Sciences' proprietary Baculovirus Expression Vector System (BEVS) technology and over 15 years experience of clinical production of baculovirus expressed proteins. GeneXpress programs can enable a customer to proceed from identifying a gene of interest to producing clinical trial quantities of protein in under a year for less than a million dollars. PSC has experience in the development and production of vaccines, protein therapeutics, enzymes and rAAV vectors.

PSC also provides a product line of purified recombinant proteins and a baculovirus expression kit to the scientific community for research uses. Purified research proteins offered in this product line include infectious disease proteins from the HIV, Influenza and SARS viruses in addition to oncology related proteins, Thrombospondin (TSP-1), CEA and erythropoietin (EPO).
