BOOK PUBLICATIONS IN THIS BOOK CORNER OR NOOK:

1. SUPPLEMENTATION WITH FEED PROTEIN AND ENERGY CONCENTRATES OR PRETREATMENT VIS-A-VIS MICROBIAL PROBIOTICS ON LOW-QUALITY DIETS.

$75.00

$55.00

On Sale  (HARD COPY)
Feed and microbial flows both contribute directly and not directly to protein flow in the intestines of ruminant livestock. Conventional feeding protein / energy concentrates and pretreatment of basal rations versus plasmid-based genetic engineering (viz. GEditing or gene editing) as well as mutagenesis for strain improvement and co-culture are approaches discussed to manipulate flow. (See: J. M. Forbes 2007 book publication, CABI, U.K.)

2. A COMPILATION OF LIGNO-CELLULOSE FEEDSTOCK AND RELATED RESEARCH FOR FEED, FOOD AND ENERGY. E-BOOK EDITION (ONLY). 2013.

$55.00
$55.00    On Sale   (HARD COPY IN DEPOSITORY ONLY WHILE SUPPLIES LAST, E-BOOK FROM XLIBRIS LLC)

Announced is the outright ban by Xlibris LLC of Bloomington IN USA with D. A. Flores (pen name) of Skye Blue Internet halting all publications of the 2013 edition in HB and SC, with exception of the e-book. The proceeds of latter will revert exclusively to the financial estate of the authors grandson and granddaughter previously held by the CEO at Xlibris of the Flores clan
A monograph on various topics with implications on new or possible advances with lignocellulose research in regards to animal feeding and also lending itself to bioenergy feedstock. The issues of various pretreatment and crop improvements with biotech and digestion including fielding of genetically regulatory organismal (GRO) (non-GMO) probiotics, are discussed.

4.  FLORES SYNTHESIS OF [26-13C]-LANOSTERAL FROM LANOSTEROL. WITH SCHEMATA FOR PRO-VIT D DRUG CANDIDATE FOR CHRONIC INFLAMMATORY-TYPE ETIOLOGY. AN OFFICIAL COPY IS LODGED AT THE KALAMAZOO COLLEGE UPJOHN LIBRARY COMMONS FOR STUDENTS, STAFF AND THE PUBLIC FOR PUBLIC INSPECTION.

The undergraduate thesis dates from research back to 1980 at Kalamazoo College USA and awarded with honours on steroidal chemistry beginning the journey with elaborating the side-chain of Lanosterol (animal, fungi). As a precursor to experiments described for pro-VitD drug agonists (called here activated VitD-As) for anti-chronic inflammatory drugs we hope will have eventual use as a preventative health nutritional (PHN) for heart-health drug applications. Potential use of semi-labour, plant-based aquaponics marine grass land-based cropping using our chemically- synthesized Lanosterol (animal, fungi) derivative introduced by reusable intra-tissue plant implant above the root / stem junction (uptake by s. osmotic pressure) to a timed delivery dosage to fully harvest of leafy parts, with downstream processing to extract bioactive forms of UV-protected VitD-As using rec-chloroplastid expressed genes in leaves.  For more: go to http://dannflores9.word-press.com.

5.  PEER-REVIEWED article: D. A. Flores. Silage feeding with water hyacinth in the tropics: a research note. agricultural sciences (journal), 2022, 13, 282-289.

$20.00

  (HARD COPY)

Paper covers the prospects of silage feeding of water hyacinth as a feed in the tropics and also discusses using grass or legumes as a model system the biochemical changes resulting from the fermentation process in ensilage with functional amino acids metabolism and the ruminal microbial-based digestive process with regards to its protein nutrition and intake control.

6. PEER-REVIEWED ARTICLE. D. A. FLORES. ISSUES WITH TROPICAL AND TEMPERATE ENSILAGE PROTEIN AND AMINO ACID FEEDS UTILIZATION: A RESEARCH NOTE. AGRICULTURAL SCIENCES (JOURNAL), 2022, 13, 1177-1185.

(HARD COPY)
Continues from graduate research at McGill University, Montreal Canada the conditions of silage processing, protein degradation, resulting duodenal amino acid flows and changes between preprandial and 3 hrs postprandial plasma amino acids on ensiled alfalfa versus the fresh (frozen) control as it relates to N status. There are plans to move on to research on silage fodders based on aquatic plant cropping (e. g. water hyacinth, duckweed and marine seagrasses), their ecological significance and impact on mixed farming practice, soya bean crop sparing in intensive swine production in vulnerable parts of the world (e. g. Brazil) and estuarine and animal effluent waste treatment from piggeries, e. g. the USA.
