BugLab develops, manufactures, supplies and sells advanced optical biomass measurement solutions for monitoring microbial cultures used in fermentation and cell culture. Our range of innovative optical sensors include insertable probes, non-invasive and portable sensors compatible with a wide variety of fermenters, bioreactor vessels and shake flasks. By measuring optical back-reflectance in the near-infrared spectrum, BugLab's unique sensors are capable of monitoring wider linear biomass range (>2-4 orders of magnitude) at high accuracy under highly variable growth conditions. BugLab also develops OEM and custom bio-analytical instrumentation with particular expertise in optical sensing methods including diffuse reflectance, fluorescence, absorbance, and Raman spectroscopy.
