Fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase deficiency

Dear colleagues,

Herewith I would like to inform you that we set up a DNA-based method to detect the molecular origin of fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase deficiency in the patients we care for. It would be very interesting for us to apply the method also to material from other patients.

All what we need is about 3 ml of EDTA-blood, sent by ordinary mail (within Europe) or Air mail (outside Europe) together with some basic data about the clinical status.

If you yourself take care for patients with fructose-1,6-bisphosphatase deficiency, I would be very grateful to you if you contacted me.
Though material from clinically and biochemically well diagnosed patients is preferred, also material from doubtful cases is welcome. You will be informed about the results of the analysis without delay.

If you know a colleague who might be able and willing to let us have material, please be so kind to inform him about our work. If possible, please let me know his address so that I could also contact him directly.

Please don't hesitate to contact me for any further information.
